Booking Through Thursday

Format

All other things (like price and storage space) being equal, given a choice in a perfect world, would you rather have paperbacks in your library? Or hardcovers? And why?

Paperback- cause I like sharing the joy of a book and that way I dont worry too much if a book doesn't come back home. Hardbacks are for keeps!!

I love both formats. As you said, hardcovers are definitely for keeps!

Happy BTT!

I prefer paperback because they're easier to read and... well... I've read more paperbacks than hardcovers, so I feel more comfortable with them.

Happy BTT!

I think so much depends on context. In some cases I would much rather have hardbacks - they stay open when my hands are full, but then paperbacks are so much lighter when you have to carry them around.

Definitely not giving away the hardbacks :-)

So true! Hardbacks are for keeps. Paperbacks, eh, they're a "dime a dozen" so to speak.

I like the 'for keeps' aspect of hardcover books but you're right. They are harder to lend because you worry about them coming back.
