The End March 20, 2008

You’ve just reached the end of a book . . . what do you do now? Savor and muse over the book? Dive right into the next one? Go take the dog for a walk, the kids to the park, before even thinking about the next book you’re going to read? What?
(Obviously, there can be more than one answer, here–a book with a cliff-hanger is going to engender different reactions than a serene, stand-alone, but you get the idea!)
Don’t forget to leave a link to your actual response (so people don’t have to go searching for it) in the comments—or if you prefer, leave your answers in the comments themselves!
That- as you so rightly pointed out- depends on the book.
A cliffhanger I'll muse forever about possible endings. A "that's the way life is" just leaves me pondering about all that is in my life. And mostly depending on the book - and my mood- I either dive straight into another one or go off books for a while.

My comment isn't up yet, but I find it depends on what's going on in my life rather than what's happening in the book. I wish I could say I always give time for reflection but It just doesn't work out like that for me.
I don't know if I've gone off books but I agree it depends on the book.
Go off books? It happened with me for three weeks in Feb. I only managed to read three books.
However, that is a rare state of affairs when I am not reading!
Booking upto ending
You'll go off books for a while? *Gasp* I understand, though. If I didn't have a stack of books threatening to overtake my home, I might take a break once in a while too. :-)
I'm a diver too! Ha!
I played too :)
